Ian's Early Years

Created by Mick 14 years ago
You arrived on a Friday at 8 minutes to 5, a beautiful little ginger baby boy, weighing 5lbs 10 1/2oz, at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot. It was not much of a surprise (you being ginger) although Dad thought you were khaki in colour. You were a good baby, always smiling. We were both so proud as we walked out of the hospital with you for the first time. This was also a nervous time for me as Dad had only just passed his driving test and was not only driving me for the first time but also you! We lived in Cippenham and your younger brother Terry was born in the same hospital as you on 7th May 1982. Having a younger brother posed no problems to you, you took to each other straight away. We moved to 92 Kingsway, Blackwater in 1983 and soon made friends with Carol & Laura and Paul, Linda, Aaron & Amanda. Even Mum got used to the move after a while! You attended the Hawley Memorial playscheme until 1985 when you moved up to Hawley County Primary School, where Terry joined you in 1987.
